When speaking to the sales representative ********************* he initially claimed it must have been a mistake and instead showed me two other homes that were the same floor plan as the originally advertised house. The house at ******** not resemble what was listed. Specifically, on 9 March 2023, I went to look at an advertised new Lennar home. They did this by posting homes online and through MLS which knowingly were unavailable, not even built as advertised. Lennar Homes of ***** used a bait and switch marketing practice originally to drive interest in their homes. We were planning to use my husband's VA benefits to apply for a home loan due to my upcoming PCS (military move). We are originally from ***** and are finally being stationed back in our home state. I am an Active-duty military officer, and my husband is a Veteran. To whom it may concern, We are filing a complaint against Lennar Homes of *****. This has created a mudpit making our backyard next to unusable for over a week after any single rain. The trench drains they put on the side of our house flood and have killed most of the grass on the side and in the backyard. Our inspector noted that the unit was undersized for the house but no resolution has been met. Our A/C unit struggles to keep up on a semi warm day (*****) degrees. They left a dead tree on our property and refused to remove it even though it is in violation of Charleston building code. The following is work that has yet to be completed or properly addressed by Lennar: 1. Our 1 year warranty punch list was submitted 5 months ago and they still have not resolved everything yet. We have had drywall and paint here to fixed the same repairs, even after the third time some of the areas have already started to fail. Our daughters unreplaceable book which was gifted by her late grandmother was ripped apart and used for flooring measurements. 2.Our entire 2nd floor had to be replaced which was a complete nightmare, No one was here to coordinate the trades until they were given a hard time. Re-surfacing a portion of our concrete floor which was a nightmare considering there was poor communication and we were stuck coordinating the trades (this is the usual, very rarely is anyone on site overseeing the trades and getting the job done correctly). In total we have had to have over 30 individual warranty items. The following are just a few issues that we've gone through. We are always left fighting to just get what we paid for. No one is held accountable for their work. We have already had to have some pretty major repairs on our house and each one has left ** extremely frustrated at the lack of communication and quality of work. Every job that gets done leaves damage or un resolved items. We have been having Issues w/ Lennars customer service and its warranty vendors for quite some time now. I need this problem resolve and Lennar honoring there word. This was a mistake in calculation between Lennar and the Lennar mortgage company and they now expect me to pay there ***** mistake. She know tells me that the financing office distribute the money incorrect and I know had to pay from the Solar panels. A few weeks pass the calls continued, I once again contacted **** from Lennar. I contacted my sales person (**************) and she said she was going to look into that. I said to contacted Lennar as they were suppose to pay at escrow for those panels. A few weeks later after closing I started to received calls from Sunnova the solar company that they will start sending me my monthly lease bills. I trusted Lennar as I didn't see any paperwork about leasing the solar panels in the closing paperwork. I was told Yes, I was purchasing the solar panels not leasing them, as I knew it was a better deal buying them instead of lease which after financing it would have cost around $35K. The day of escrow I once again asked if the solar panels were included in the price of the house. The total price of the Solar panels was $*****. I was even told I was going to be given a credit towards the solar panels at escrow of $18,750. I purchase a New house from Lennar and I was told I needed Solar panels by law.
